Ulverston Town Council Events Calendar

Ulverston is South Lakeland’s friendly and historic Market Town only a few miles from the shores of Windermere. Birthplace of Stan Laurel and home to a thriving artistic community, the town is proud of its variety and quality of festivals and events held throughout the year. Events are held throughout the town on the cobbled streets, the Coronation Hall and at Ford Park.

Visit Ulverston; take part in its festivals and stay awhile to enjoy the hospitality and old world atmosphere in the town. Relish the host of specialist shops, cosy pubs, traditional street market and market hall. The 39 Steps

Ulverston Outsides present The 39 Steps, a spiffing tale of daring heroes and dastardly villains! At the coronation Hall 7.30 Tickets available from the box office. £9.00 and £10.00

From 24th November 2018 to 30th November 2019

Dickensian Festival

A wonderful family events with hundreds of stalls, free entertainment, period costume competition, Queen Victoria, Santa and Mr Bumble. Cosy Cafes and pubs, independent shops and the Christmas Lights Switch on, plus the chance to get dressed up in Victoria Costume

Ulverston Canal Decorated Brolly Parade.

An early evening procession for all of the family. Decorate your brolly with fairy lights and tinsel and come along for this easy festive walk from Canal Head to Canal Foot. Starts at 5.30. Refreshments and music at Canal Head

Weekly outdoor street market

Ulverston holds its weekly outdoor street market every Thursday and Saturday throughout the year and indoor markets every day in the Market Hall, New Market Street (closed Wednesdays and Sundays)
